Crocheted Barbie Clothes.

Okay, so these are the pictures that you gals wanted me to post. I think the dress and scarf are pretty cute, but I would love to learn how to follow a pattern. Maybe I'll take a class...that would be a good place to start, right?!

Gingerbread Cookies and Sticky Fingers

Tyler and his little friend Ellie, helped me bake homemade gingerbread cookies.
They helped add all the ingredients and then took turns climbing up and down the step latter to cut the shaped out of the cookie doe.
This was an amazing recipe. I just used the recipe off of the "Grandmas Molasses" jar. Of course I always have to tweak every recipe I use, so I added an additional 1/4 c. of molasses!

Dominique came home from school just in time to decorate all the cookies. Dominique did a beautiful job and the cookies turned out so cute...and tasty too!

My decorator hard at work; look at her attention to detail, amazing!

Cute and Yummy Gingerbread Cookies!

Crocheting Fun!

I decided to crochet Dominique some "Oregon Duck" Barbie clothes. She informed me that she wanted me to make her a hat and scarf also...so this is what I came up with. I am not good at reading patterns so I just made this up...not too shabby for my first hat. She was so impressed that she wore it to school. It made me feel so good that she was so impressed! I love ya little lady. I also crocheted Tyler scarf, but he doesn't like to wear it; he says it chokes him, lol.

Hunting for the perfect tree!

For the past two years we have not had a Christmas tree. We moved into our last house around Christmas of 2007 and then moved out around Christmas of 2008 to move to Eugene. So, we were on a mission to find the best Christmas tree in town.

We took the kids to Carroll's Tree Farm to hunt for the perfect tree.

It took less than 10 minutes to find a gorgeous 6' tall evergreen.

My little
tree hugger!

Great choice kiddos!

Kris did the honors of cutting down our first "live" tree. I have always felt so bad "killing" a tree for Chrsitmas, so we have only had an artificial one in the past. I was informed that they plant these trees just to become "Christmas Trees," so I didn't feel too guilty.
And all that was left was some pine-needles and the trunk.

It was so neat to watch them "wrap" our tree. This machine pulled the tree through. . .
wrapped it up in netting . . .
. . .and was ready to go on the van roof.
They also had such beatiful Christmas wreaths!

They offered hot chocolate and popcorn; Tyler thoroughly enjoyed his snacks.

My little princess!

Ready to take home and decorate!

My beautiful family!

Who is this strapping young man...he is so strong, look at him carry that tree above his head.

Go Dad!

Dominique and Kris did a phenomenal job stringing popcorn for our tree. Dominique and Tyler were so excited and we were as well!!!
All our ornaments got lost in the move so we had to go purchase all new decorations for the tree.
Picking out all the Christmas decor with the family was so much fun!
And now were have a perfectly decorated, LIVE, Christmas TREE!

Christmas Fun!

I wanted to do something fun for my nieces and nephews for Christmas, so I made these cute little Santa Calenders. The kids glue a cotton ball on each day until Santa has grown a full beard; then it's Christmas!

I used my bare minerals make-up to bronze Santa's face; he looked a little pasty with a "white" face.

I made 8 total Santa Calenders. It took me four hours, but I had a lot of fun making them.

The Santa Calenders look similar, but are all unique. No single one is like the others! From different eye colors to where I drew on the numbers. . . I designed each one special for each family.
Fun!
. . .and wallah! The Santa Calenders are ready to be sent to all the kiddos!

We miss and love you all!

Halloween in our neck of the woods.

Halloween 2009

Dominique made a gorgeous Sparkle Witch, and Tyler made an adorable dragon.
Tyler started to eat his loot before we even made it to the second house.
The kids got enough candy to last them until next Halloween.
Tyler...where else would he be?
Awww...Daddy's little buddy.
Just too cute!
It was a gorgeous night perfect for trick-or-treating!
Tyler kept up with Dominique the whole night.
Trick-or-Treat
This picture just makes me smile!
Lookin' cute and having a blast!

Oh dear, I think that I better lock her up and throw away the key...Boys beware, her dad has a shotgun!
...a really big shotgun!
with lots of bullets!

I hope that everyone had a great Halloween!
