The Carnival, Scottish Festival, Sword making, WOW!

We celebrated Mother's Day! I was still recouping, but I was ready to have fun!
Kris made me breakfast! Thanks honey; it was delicious!
Then we went to Dominique's school carnival.

Dominique was so excited that she could barely hold still long enough to take any pictures. Tyler spent most of his time on his Daddy's shoulders. It seemed to be a good spot for him!

Dominique and Tyler were more interested in playing on the play structures than the Carnival.

The kids were able to dunk the Principal by throwing a ball and hitting the lever. SWEET!

I had to coax Tyler to get into this jumping gym. He was skeptical at first, but after a while he didn't want to leave.

If you look closely you'll see that I am still able to fly across the Monkey-bars. Woohoo! Tyler was very impressed and kept telling me to be careful...tee hee!

After a while it was time for a refreshment. There's nothing better than a snow-cone on hot day! MMMMmmmmMmMm!

Tyler didn't even dump his out...and ate the whole thing!

Awww...isn't she just cute!

Tyler made it to about here on this play structure and then decided it was too "dangerous!" LOL (Another sign that he is growing up too fast! Dang It!)

Tyler did well, especially with Daddy's help!

What a brave 'lil thing!

It was time to return to the carnival and paint some faces! The line was long, but the kids were very patient! I have to say I was impressed! Tyler pictured a snake and Dominique picked a blue rose and some cherries. It was adorable!

They both sat very still!

Then it was of to the Scottish Festival to watch some sword fighting.

This was pretty amazing to watch! Kris was in heaven!

Watch out!

Dominique also got to try her hand at archery. . .

she even hit the target. WOW!

While Tyler played with the baby Scottish Terriors.

He was a little shy at first.

Tyler didn't really know what think.

And then . . .

they got all caught up. Hehe.

The day wasn't over...we had some energy left, so. . .

We purchases some 1/2 inch plywood and went to work. We free-handed some swords and traced some guns.

Kris did a phenomenal job cutting these things out!

Then it was my turn to sand and paint them.

They looked stunning and Tyler was giddy!

This was fun and the outcome was worth all the sanding!

EXCALIBUR!

Now we are ready for a shoot-out and a sword fight; care to join us?

Tyler's new Spider-man bike. . .

SPIDER-MAN

Tyler got a new "big boy" bike the other day. When he saw the Spider-man bike, I new that was the one. I decided to let Tyler ride his bike inside due to the rainy weather. He loves it and rides his bike every day.

He is a pro...it took him less than 30 minutes to figure out how to ride it. When he first tried to ride it in the store he kept pushing the breaks. This is just another sign that my son is growing up too fast!
If it's not John Deere, it's Spider-man. Tyler wanted me to take a picture of his cute Spidey PJ's. What I handsome boy I have!
And he's off . . .

Don't try this at home ! ! !

I decided that I would give Dominique and Tyler the big box that my shipment came in. There were huge pieces of Styrofoam that the kids tore into microscopic pieces and made a "pool." They were playing in the playroom so I wasn't too worried about a mess. HAH! Maybe I should have taken the Styrofoam away, and just left them the box... you'll soon come to understand that this innocent play session, TURNED INTO A CLEANING FRENZY!

At this point there wasn't hardly a mess at all. I thought it was adorable that the little pieces of Styrofoam were sticking to the kids like glue.

You can see that the Styrofoam is still in big junks and that the kids are having a blast...

Well, they decided to make it a little more exciting, courtesy of Dominique.

Tyler stripped down to his briefs...well...because it was a pool?!

IT STUCK TO EVERYTHING!

AND IT WAS EVERYWHERE!!! Tyler and Dominique tracked it all through the house. . .

Down the hall...in the bedrooms...in the bathrooms... The cats even tracked it onto my bed. WOW!!!

No one escaped this madness...not even Hannah.

Leave it to my Mom to make my day. I was on the verge of feeling better and had been sick for two weeks. My Mom sent me a bouquet of flowers to perk me up and she could not have sent them at a better time!!! Right after I discovered this horrific mess...the door rang and I got flowers from my MOM! Thanks MOM! You sure know how to brighten a gals day!

My Mom also sent me this plant arrangement a while back because I was having withdrawals due to missing her. What a great MOM I have! You're the best. Thanks for everything!

Well, now you are informed! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, let your children play with STYROFOAM; unless you feel like spending four hours cleaning it up...and having this stuff show-up for days...lol.

Pure Talent!

I usually listen to the radio when I am cleaning the house. Today I caught Tyler showing off his dancing moves. However, when he saw that I had the camera he stopped. He did show of a little bit for the camera. Take a look, it's adorable!

My little boy has serious skill. . . lol!!!
