Hugs and love for her arrival...

Dominique was so excited to see her grandma she even tried to go up the "down" escalator...lol.

She's HERE!

I noticed this on the back of the bathroom stall door at the Portland Airport. Thank goodness there was directions on how to flush the toilet...I couldn't have figured it out without this visual...lol; however, this is such a wonderful way to conserve water. Flush up for #1, and down for #2.My Mom "Maca," ALWAYS brings a little something every time she sees the kids. They are so lucky to have a grandma like "Maca", she's a little slice of heaven!

Here we go through the tunnel; Kris always honks the horn all the way through...woohoo!

Finally, We arrive at the Cheesecake Factory! This is my favorite restaurant and my Mom can now say she's officially been there. MMMM!!!

Of course we had to get on a waiting list...Portland has 4 million people, it's the Cheesecake Factory, it's a Saturday...need I say more.
Dominique and Tyler were ecstatic to see their "Maca!" We ended up waiting an hour to eat, but Tyler and Dominique were occupied by playing with my mom.

Here we are...Kris is happy to be away from work...and I am happy he got to come...it took a little convincing to get him to travel 4 hours in the car after working a 55 hour week. WHAT A SPORT...I THINK HE LOVES US!

The GAMES begin. Tyler and my Mom played while we waited to be seated for dinner.

I have not seen him this happy since we got here. He loves his "Maca! "

Oh, to be a kid agian!
He just couldn't get enough!
My mom was having just a much fun, if you can belive that.Smiling was contagious!
Bunny Ears...
Tyler didn't leave his Maca's side the whole night!
The food took too long I guess; Dominique fell alseep before the appetizers even got to our table.
She' s out for the count. I ended up carrying her to the van...MAN she is heavy!

Ready or Not..

We have been waiting in a very impatient manor for my mom to visit us here in Eugene. The wait is almost over; we will be driving to Portland tomorrow to pick her up from the airport. We are so excited to have a visitor, especially since it's my MOM! We have a list a mile long of fun exciting new things to do. Due to the fact that we have only been living in Eugene a few months, a lot of territory has yet to be discovered. I will make sure to take tons of pictures and blog daily. My Mom will be here for a week, so my blog fans will be introduced to our new Eugene lifestyle and our fast-paced encounters. Well, stay tuned...the best is yet to come!

Piece by piece...

Tyler laid down with kitties and fed them their food piece by piece.

Miley and Hannah adore Tyler. Tyler is Miley's favorite, even when he is ruff with her. The other day Tyler was playing with Miley's ears; I went to "save" her by taking her away from him and she tried to bite me...won't do that again, lol!

Hannah is my favorite. She follows me around the house and tries to "sneak" onto my lap whenever I am sitting down. I LOVE MY KITTIES! (Miley is the kitty on the left and Hannah is the Kitty on the right.)

Finally...A haircut I am happy with!!!

As women, we never seem to be happy with our hair, weight, etc. However, I finally got a haircut that I LOVE! I was going to grow it out, but I am completely over that idea. Simplicity is my new best friend.

Pay no attention to the messy playroom beside me...lol.

This haircut is called an A-line. I love it, love it, love it!

Now all I need to do is lose some weight...lol.

If you want a piece of homemade apple pie...

Come Visit Us...
Before we eat the whole thing...

My little chefs...

Dominique ended up in the Emergency Room at four this morning with an ear infection. She slept most of the day, and when she woke-up you couldn't even tell that she was ever sick. We took this opportunity to make a homemade apple pie.

Believe it or not, but it this is a rare occasion. (Dominique and Tyler are actually playing nicely...lol)
My little chefs are hard at work. Dominique is making a "pizza" and Tyler is making a "pie".

Nothing makes a person feel better than a piece of homemade hot apple pie...mmmm!

The trees' buds are turning to leaves, roses are blooming, and it's time to start gardening! My neighbor brought us over this awesome book, ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING, by: Mel Bartholomew. The idea is to grow more plants in less space and also eliminating weeds and fertilizer! We are more than excited! A garden without weeds is too good to be true! These are the forms that we built. We will fill them with vermeculite, compost, and petemoss.

And yes...these flowers are real...It's hard to believe I'm planting my flowers in March?

Tyler loves to smell them!

All because two people fell in love...almost seven years ago!

Our Accounting 233 group was supposed to meet on a Friday to go over the chapter; Kris was unable to come (due to working for Nate), so we decided to meet on a Saturday instead. On Saturday Allen (the other group member) had to cancel.
It was incredibly hard to focus on the reading. I kept reading the same lines over and over, yet none of it made any sense. (I think that it had something to do with how incredibly cute Kris is). Kris asked me if I wanted to finish the homework later and go rent a movie. It was quarter after eleven when we got back from Movie Gallery. (We rented “Blade”; starring Wesley Snipes.) I sat on my couch and Kris laid on my love-seat. I wondered how long it would take before he migrated over to the couch.
Lacking patience (as always) I asked Kris if he wanted to sit by me. There was absolutely NO hesitation. The movie was good, but I think that we enjoyed cuddling more! It seemed like the movie was only ten minutes long. (Time always seems to go by faster when a person wants it to stop all together.)
When the movie was over it was after midnight…Kris got ready to go home, but not before asking me if he could give me a kiss good-night. What a gentleman! (Nervous and red in the face…I’m sure of it…I agreed.) After a sweet kiss good-night Kris left, but not before assuring me that we would meet again.
THE CUTEST THING ABOUT THE WHOLE DATE WAS HOW MUCH TROUBLE KRIS WENT THROUGH TO GET ME ALONE. AFTER WE HAD BEEN DATING A COUPLE OF MONTHS, KRIS’ SISTER MERILEE TOLD ME HIS SECRET. . . ALLAN REALLY DID NOT “CANCEL”. WHEN ALLAN (THE OTHER GROUP MEMBER WHO COME TO FIND OUT HAD A CRUSH ON ME AS WELL) CALLED KRIS TO FIND OUT WHEN WE WERE GOING TO MEET, KRIS HAD NATHAN (HIS BROTHER) TELL ALLAN THAT HE HAD ALREADY LEFT. WHAT WAS REALLY IRONIC WAS THAT ALLAN ONLY HAD KRIS’ PHONE NUMBER, AND THE “STUDY-GROUP” WAS ALL KRISTOPER’S IDEA! HOW ROMANTIC!!!
And well…the rest is history.

It is hard to believe that this happened almost 7 years ago...WOW!

Kris and I have two wonderful children. Dominique is seven and is in the second grade. Tyler just turned three in December and loves to read. Kris is a CPA and I am working my degree at the University of Oregon. I am majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Science. My goal is to graduate in 2011.

I finally made my own...

While this is a work in progress, I am well on my way. This week has been crazy, but I am no longer making any excuses! My goal is to blog at least once a week. Anyway, I am looking forward to joining "the bloggers" and can't wait to share snippets of our life with all of you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA BILL AND GRANNY ZITO!!!!
WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!
